Hubby and I decided on a week night date night and found ourselves in Chelsea. We wandered into Chelsea Market and came across Ayada. We are currently obsessed with Thai food and decided to go in. It has a pretty cool vibe, super friendly staff, with excellent service. . What we ate: Drinks: Congo - his Falling Slowly - mine (amazing mezcal cocktail, smoky, fruity deliciousness) Apps that we shared: Crispy Shrimp Roll Eastern Sausage - thank goodness for our server Pete who showed us how to eat these skewered sausages on a plate with lettuce, peanuts, cilantro, and thin sliced red onions. He said most people eat them off the skewer with a fork and knife but traditionally they are eaten from the skewer and the accoutrements are to nosh on with the sausage. - winner Mains: Beef Pad See Ew - his Crispy Duck Panang Curry - OMG! Super flavorful, crispy, juicy, and the curry - I could have drank right from the bowl. I ordered medium heat - which was perfect. Must try! Dessert: Mango Sticky Rice . Can't wait to get back to Ayada.

We had been eager to try this Thai restaurant at Chelsea Market for quite some time, and it did not disappoint. Surprisingly spacious, it boasts two entrances, which is perfect if you have a stroller or wheelchair. The extra space and secondary entrance make it very convenient and comfortable. The staff was incredibly nice and friendly, contributing to the restaurant's casual and quiet atmosphere. As a huge fan of Thai food, I was impressed with the dishes we ordered. The papaya salad, ordered medium spicy, was quite spicy but delicious. My personal favorite was the fried pork, which was cooked to perfection.
